Powerflushing is carried out on central heating systems to improve the efficiency of the radiators and boiler. This is done with the use of chemicals (to breakdown the sludge that has developed within the system) and a dedicated flushing machine.

It is typically accepted within the industry that the efficiency level will increase dramatically resulting in a reduction in fuel bills and of course a warmer house.

The process will be carried out by qualified engineers who will only finish when the job is 100% complete and everything is in great working order.

Symptoms to show a Powerflush is required:

✓ Noisy system
✓ Cold spots on radiators
✓ Cold at the base of radiator
✓ Banging noises coming from the boiler
✓ Rust appearing on radiators and pipework
✓ Unable to control the heat
✓ Not enough hot water

If not treated sludge will eventually block the system to the point where the system will require replacing.

All new Boiler installations require a Powerflush to validate the warranty.

Upto and including 10 radiators £350 including MC1 and MC3 chemicals.
Additional Radiators £15 each plus extra chemical if required.
